Keeping our clients up-to-date

The vast majority of the websites on our platform include a hosted and maintained Joomla! installation for general content management needs.

We provide a hosted and maintained service so our clients are up with the latest security and feature releases of third party and open source software we take advantage of.

Over the past few weeks we have been working hard in the background to get all our clients moved over to Joomla! 1.5 from 1.0 and we are pretty much there.

This has been done with no fuss and at no extra cost to our platform clients - we have taken the hassle and expense out of the whole operation.

Aside from the huge leaps in usability and improvements in security that Joomla! 1.5 brings, there are some Platform specific improvements that we have made as a result of the update.

• Joomla now knows when it is on a Tribalogic page, making highlighting of current pages in menus and placement of modules possible
• We have built a brand new Module that allows the inclusion of snippets of directory content around your site using specifically designed modules (see thumbnails on The Edinburgh Address as an example)
